S is for Stage Two

In the fall of 2007, WICA launched the
$2.5 Million Stage Two Capital Campaign
in response to the organization’s critical
need for space and facility upgrades.
Since that time, the project has received
accolades for its smart, efficient and
environmentally conscious design,
and as a result has raised more than
$1.7 Million in cash and pledges (Jan. ‘09).
The response from the community and
local funders has been overwhelmingly
positive and has set the tone for
the remainder of the Campaign.

Initial construction began in November 2008
in a thoughtful and strategically timed manner.
The intent is to build the facility in phases
with minimal interruption to
the year-round programming.

Construction will continue in tandem
with the next phase of fundraising
and community involvement.
