Set in the magical Mediterranean kingdom of Illyria, Twelfth Night follows Viola, a cross-dressing shipwreck survivor, determined to make her way in her new homeland.

Like many of Shakespeare’s comedies, this one centers on mistaken identity. Viola loses contact with her twin brother, Sebastian, whom she believes to be dead. Masquerading as ‘Cesario,’ she enters the service of Duke Orsino who is in love with the Countess Olivia.

CRAZY FOR LOVE.

Both Orsino and Olivia’s households have love on the brain. But who, really, are the objects of desire? When Viola disguises herself as a boy and begins her work as Orsino’s servant, she becomes entangled in an awkward love triangle. Things come unglued, but for almost everyone, Shakespeare’s treasured comedy ends happily.

Raucous, romantic, and wildly funny, Twelfth Night is a spectacular concoction of cross-dressing and confusion.

Our superb cast unscrambles the confusion, madness and mayhem all the while breathing new life into
Shakespeare’s most beloved comedy -- Twelfth Night.

Recommended for ages 6 and older: Twelfth Night, written at the peak of Shakespeare 's comedic brilliance, seamlessly balances and blends bright and dark elements. The play is suitable for ages six and up, however the poetry and themes will be best enjoyed by well-prepared and mature children 10 and up. Parents should be aware that the production playfully physicalizes some bawdiness and sexual innuendo.
