Bob is finding the stimulation of the regular period immersion into stagecraft and the company of the wonderful WICA community to be well worth the burden of commuting for rehearsals from his Woodinville home.

After working as a composer and performer of experimental music in San Francisco 's Bay Area, Robert has rediscovered the pleasures of performance with and for many of the Island 's singers, musicians, poets and actors.

Paul Mathews (The Kentucky Cycle) most recently completed a long run as Paul, husband, father, engineer, set-builder, and sometime cross-dresser in the Theatre of Life. His theatrical portfolio is slimmer than the card file at George W. Bush’s library, consisting of long-ago appearances in shadow puppet presentations as a child, college variety shows, and campfire skits. In 2006, he misunderstood the meaning of the audience’s hilarity during his appearance on stage in the Mr. South Whidbey Pageant, and he has since edged closer and closer to legitimate roles in actual theater productions. Paul sends special thanks to Amy Walker, Michael Barker, and Jim Scullin, for their professional guidance, and to Karen Vanderbilt, for her patience.

Pat played seven different characters in the world premier of the musical All My Fool’s as well as leads in The Mind with the Dirty Man and The Rainmaker. In the early 70’s, after studying drama at Western Washington University, he went off to Paris, where he worked with his  brother, Mike, on his world premier of Eggs with an international cast that helped develop the play through improv workshops that also involved stunts and stage fighting. His film work includes voice overs and bit parts in (still unfinished) “Lemmings’’ and in two Richard Evans films: “Shadow of Rain” and the soon to be released “Shuffle & Cut - A Question for Godard”. Pat also has his own video on how to carve a salmon. Pat works as a full time sculptor, creating mainly large wood sculptures. He  also sculpts stone, steel, ice, snow and clay.
