The superior acoustics and intimacy of the WICA venue will showcase the artful compositions and well-honed musicianship of Spoonshine. Their creativity is nurtured by the abundant pool of American and World music traditions.

They faithfully honor those traditions whiledelighting audiences with a repertoire that is both familiar and startlingly original. Their music simply pleases people. How uncommon it is to be selected as the featured performers at poetry society events in several states and then bring down the house at the local honky-tonk the next night. The joy of music touches each of us in different ways. The tingle we get from listening eyes closed in awe to instrumental virtuosity or the irresistible urge to move our bodies in time with the pounding rhythm. The three hour performance will include two sets featuring the quartet Spoonshine with Jacob Navarro, Bill Cook, Matt Ambrose and James Harper. They will be joined by guest musician Dan Duggin on Accordian. The sets will range from the subdued duo Jacob and Bill to the powerfully driven sound of the quartet.

The homegrown artists of Spoonshine are pleased to perform for their discerning friends and neighbors as part of the WICA Local Artist Series.
