biographies ISLAND OF MOTION,
ISLAND OF FIRE.
Marta Mulholland was involved in musical theatre, drama, and dance throughout middle school, high school, and college. While a teenager in
North Carolina
, she performed with The North Carolina Theatre, a regional theatre which would bring professional from NYC to star in the shows.
When she was 20, Marta spent a year in NYC taking dance classes at the Alvin Ailey school and getting a feel for the life of a performer in the Big Apple. Deciding that she was more of a "rural" girl at heart, Marta moved out to WA to finish college and to pursue various other interests. She has traveled far and wide and at various times has enjoyed working: as a Peace Corps volunteer in the Dominican Republic, a volunteer coordinator in a deaf domestic violence organization, a Hatha yoga instructor, a certified American Sign Language interpreter, and a choreographer.
Marta is so excited to be dancing again, collaborating with Suzanne, and getting this opportunity to make a dream into reality through this Local Artist Concert!
